Airport Security
Political events of the twentieth century have made airports an attractive target for the activity of terrorists and other criminal elements.
An airport hosts a wide range of interests: national, economic, commercial, etc that are likely to be the target of illegal activity. The primary dangers are: Terrorism Crime Smuggling Drugs
An effective security concept is based on security circles, the first and outermost circle consists of a perimeter defence system that integrates technical means (fences), electronic means and personnel in the inner circles, limited areas are defined and control points are established in order to close off and control passage.
Security systems built on technical means and personnel are established to inspect passengers, luggage and cargo.
Electronic control equipment and security personnel, both uniforms and plain clothes, have preventive and different functions in critical areas, protecting against terror and criminal activity. IDS offers the following airport security services:
Initial survey and risk analysis
Consulting regarding the selection of the optimum system at the minimum cost and integration of professional engineering
Implementing, or training local staff to use the internationally recognized "Profile System" for identifying suspicious persons and objects who might pose a threat to the airport and its clients.
Assisting in the design of new airports to ensure the effective integration of information /intelligence, personnel, security measures and equipment, procedures and training , drills and control will provide the optimum security system. This System should be carefully planned in advance and based on sound professional principles.
